heyy ppl!! b4 i start talking abt what i wanna talk abt, i would like to wish all the malays out there, esp iqbal, dian n asyraf a joyful n happy hari raya =)))
i think i'll talk abt what happened yesterday. hmm.......well, yesterday was the day after deepavali n the eve of hari raya. the day was goin as per normal till around 3.30pm. a fren of mine suddenly called me and said tt we hv a match. ok. i think i better make this clearer. well, its like this. the boys of my neighbourhood and the boys of the neighbourhood across the road always had the rivarly amoung us. so we had occasional soccer matches against each other to settle the scores. this game was kinda significant for me as i was the first time i was gonna touch a football in like 2 1/2 months!!! tt was the longest i had ever gone without playing soccer. so anyway, my team-mates gathered at the field beside my block at 4pm. if u a neutral n had wanted to bet for this game, u would hv definately hv betted against us because our average age was 14, compared to there 18. i am sort of a all rounded player. my best positions are as either a striker or as a full back [[right back or left back]]. i hv played in these positions in competitive games with gd results. so for 2days game, i played left back. we played 45mins per half n once the goal posts were set up, the game was under way. we had a horrible first 30mins n my rustiness in not playing for so long clearly showed as u went down 3-0. but being the leader of the defence, i had to encourage my team on n we bounced back in brilliant fashion, scoring 3 quick fire goals to go into half time with the score at 3-3. we used the half time break to come up with a new tactic n changed our formation. the second half was more thrilling than the already thrilling first half. i finally got into the game n the footballing mood was finally getting into me. i had comments after the game tt i played every well. cool huh?? my team-mate even said tt i was even gd enough to join a club as a first choice defender at under-16 level!! how honoured............. =)))))))) anyways, the second half started fairly well, but we were the one to concide first, a mistake by my fellow defender putting the opposition striker through on goal to score. but we soon levelled n the game was getting more n more exicting. than i suffered an injury n had to sit out for abt 5mins. they told the advantage of having an extra man to put one past us to make the score 5-4 to them. i knew i had to help my team-mates n decided to come back on despite a slight pain on my hamstring. i played to my level best n sprayed the ball up field to my strikers. and at exactly the 89th minute, we equalised. with only one minute left, we pushed everything forward n a brilliant dribble by my striker ended in him putting the ball past the opposition keeper. it was a great feeling. when the final wistle blew, the game ended 5-5 . i felt great. after not playing soccer for so long, i had turned in a brilliant performance. i was so happy. got my touch back. than i decided, im not gonna drop playing soccer. i agree with firdaus, it just wasn't my year. im much better. yay!! =)))

i won't fall for u............
i won't...........
