/ 1:17 AM yo world!! yesterday was argubly the most happiest day of my life over the past few wks. well, i took part in a under-17 soccer tournament yesterday. my team was myself, satish, yin lun, nick, nige, rudy and rahim. all of us where 15. our team name - SJI FC. it was relli very nerve cracking ok. all the teams had players aged 17 lahhh. damn scary. but in the end, we did brilliantly well. we scored a total of 8 goals in 5 games, nick was the top scorer with 6 goals, i was the top assistor with 6 assists, rudy was our midfield dynamo, rahim was consistant through out, satish used his power and body relli well, nige was exceptionally brilliant in his defense, and yin lun did well between the posts. we drew our first match 1-1, where we went a goal down before i earned a penalty which nick converted. won our second match 2-0 with a fine effort from nick and a wonder goal frm rudy. third match, lost to eventual winners of the tournament, 2-0. but tt was enough for us to qualify to the semi finals as grp runner ups. we lost our semi final 4-2, but played our best football where we gave everything we had, and both our goals where brilliant goals that nick scored frm the half-way line!! then, we went into the 3rd-4th place playoffs where we won 2-1, courtesy of a stunning goal frm satish and another fine goal frm nick. im pleased tt everyone played to their fullest potential, and although i din score, im happy to hv played my part by being top assistor and being praised my my frens for my defending. im hoping to bring the same team for the sports fiesta. so watchout, cause SJI FC is on a roll!! =DDD |
